More Garden Pics (And my other Cat this time…)

Tuesday, April 10th, 2007

I swear, every time I try to do some shots outside. Like tonight I wanted dim light so just about sundown went outside and checked to make sure Camera Cat Whore #1 (Needy as seen in last photo shoot) was asleep in the backyard. GREAT!!!

Cat #2 (Jack) was out and about (or so I thought).

No sooner had I got Perdain set up… I hear “MEROW” cause Jack is my talker and sure enough I had to keep one eye on my shots and one Eye on Jack trying to rub on Perdain.

*rolls eyes* Damn Cats. But here’s the few decent shots that turned out.

Jack Arrives!… *grumble*

Right after this shot, Jack decided to mark Perdain and almost knocked over. YIKES. I had to dive in for the save here.
O_o

I really need to sew my boy some britches, he looks like he’s wearing a dress this way. It’s just a chemise, honest eventually I’ll get his trousers finished.

Perdain in the Garden

Saturday, April 7th, 2007

Our Garden out the front door is in full bloom (Oh my allergies!) So Perdain and I took a quick trip outside for some pictures and my little drama whore Kitty deigned to join us…
Needy (The Cat): “But Mommy, that’s the camera in your hands, but of course *I* am the pretty one here you much capture for all posterity!”
Me: “Move it Kitty! No, don’t sit ON THE DOLL! Damn Vain Cat!”

Here’s the pics:

My First Attempt at Sewing Garments….

Sunday, April 1st, 2007

Please note, I have never sewn ANYTHING in my life, unless you count 6th grade Home Ec class where I made a pathetic laundry bag 25 years ago!!!
I’ve had a sewing machine sitting in the garage for about 10 years and it was so bloody dusty I had to spend 2 hours just cleaning the darn thing.

But I said to myself, I’m an artsy farsty person, I spent several years in the SCA watching others making my garb and if cavemen can develop this skill surely I can use basic reasoning and make a simple Chemise/Tunic.

It didn’t come out half bad either.

He matches the little Daybed I got for him. *grin* (Doggy bed from EBay)

TO BJD owners on my list – creative Furniture Option

Tuesday, February 27th, 2007

This is a perfect swanky couch for your 60cm or 70 cm dolls
TEH SWANK LINKAGE
There are a TON of these on ebay too, I found like 50 of them all for under $40 including shipping.

Yes, it’s a pet bed TECHNICALLY
but a lot easier on a wallet than the “Official” furniture you can buy and the cheese factor alone of the leopard skin is great!
I just bought one for Perdain so I can display him on my shelf safely when he arrives.

This is also a more traditional option for your doll
Shaker Bed
also a pet bed, but can you tell the difference? No!

Tax Return + Deisre = New BLD

Sunday, February 25th, 2007

I finally, after several years of desire, bought a Ball Jointed Doll…
My New Baby
I ordered him as shown in the pictures, I cannot wait to get my hands on him. I also ordered him an extra wig in brown, to model him after my “Prince Perdain” from my Wielder and Wellspring stories….

I spent so much money, but damn, I really REALLY wanted one of these. I’m aways so envious of others walking around at conventions with these beautiful things, now I will finally have one. WHOOPIE!
